Key research areas:

  • Multi-scale mathematical modelling and computer simulation of complex coupled fluid flow, heat and mass transfer problems and their applications in engineering, including: theory and development of new numerical techniques and efficient computational algorithms, analysis of high temperature systems, renewable and storage energy systems, porous media, metal alloys phase transition in both microgravity and terrestrial conditions, validation procedures of numerical models.

  • 3 Individual Awards of the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology for scientific achievements in 1985, 1989, 1993;
  • 5 Team Awards of the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology for scientific achievements (including four I-degree and one II-degree): 1987, 2000-2001, 2004-2005, 2006-2007, 2008-2009;
